Very kind of you Colin, thanks for the encouragement. Maybe, one day I can persuade you to do some photography for me? I like your work - very talented.

Message to Allan : Typing this has sparked off memories of your versions of "Country Roads" and "Annie's Song" . Your voice was quite remarkable and your covers of them are perhaps the best I have ever heard since you first sang them to me - in Edinburgh. - many moons ago (Lunar not Jimmy)

Yes, it is interesting to reflect that despite my many digital gadgets I still love that old warm analogue sound. You did well. We will have to talk more about the prospect of re-cording some fresh (or old) material. Thanks.
ps glad the tambourine is in one piece
pps shame on you for using a drum machine - can't you sample an empty guitar case being kicked - instead?

Hi George. Obviously that period had a big impact on both of our music. I still play a lot of these songs too. I've still got the tambourine, but use a drum machine a bit more now. I'd be pleased to catch up with you sometime and maybe lay down a few tracks again. I never got over the qualty we achieved on my cassette recorder all these years ago. Cheers for now. Brian

Brian - How lovely to hear from you - you have no idea how much I miss you and our days together in Glasgow with FRAGILE. Are you aware of just how much of an influence these days had on me?. I loved the repertoire and the sound we made from a wide mix of material. Do you still have the recording on mini-disc? I still have the box of all our publicity photos taken in the park near where I lived and about 1 zillion FRAGILE stickers - two of which are still attached to my EKO and 5 string banjo. Brian - thank you - I will contact you when I get back to the UK - and get back in the hut! Give my love to your family - m-g

Hi George, Yes I remember the EKO 12 string very well. I have one too, as well as a 6 string version (which you will probably remember. My main guitars now are a 6 string Taylor and a 12 string Tanglewood. I still play a little, but not in public! I have a hut in my garden kitted out as a studio, but have not used it as much as I planned, but there is still time to make better use of it yet. Love the new website and look forward to hearing more of your recordings. Cheers for now. Brian
